Backgrounds are nearly done, just some finishing touches to go, then I can start messing around with them in aftereffects,
Lately I've been figuring out how I would make the final scene, where the camera zooms out to reveal a spinning city-globe. After a few trial and error attempts, I found out that it was more straight forward to make a 3d model of the globe using maya.
Ive recently figured out how to use 3d layers using aftereffects and its my new favourite thing! I think this would be a good technique to use for this project since I can make it look 3d but still have it stylised.
Some more solid cage concepts. I need to figure out a final storyboard so theres still a lot of room for changes.
A little animation test... for extra enjoyment, play some music on another tab.

S.O.S is a very short student animation project about a man trapped on a desert island.
