It's not that he hadn't noticed the jars lined up before, but it was the first time he was seeing the process in real time, and... for this one, his eyes could not tell which organ this lump of grey flesh was, nor if it was human in the first place.
However, as always, he played it cool and made sure to not let his initial confusion come across.
"It must be quite special to be willing to make space for it... where do they come from? The local hospital?"
Or was there a whole community of doctors and coroners who insider traded those... despite it sounding out there, he would not be surprised.
"Right—I am here to get the autopsy report of the TL-1402 case. It's quite high profile, so I wanted to get it as soon as I heard you were finished, please, Miss Gorey."
He silently waited, hands poisely behind his back in true professional form, when curiosity stroke him.
