UCLA is going the the 'ship!
When you’re really happy your team scored a goal…
I'm not necessarily a soccer savant, but it definitely seemed like UCLA had Jess playing holding mid for the entirity of this game. She was hanging with the Bruin backline the entire game. I'm going to guess this was just some experimentation because the opponent wasn't that great.
Anyway, it was remarkable just how discombobulated the Bruins were without Jess in an attacking role. They had the ball the overwhelming majority of the game, sure, but they could not finish to save their lives in the final third. It was literally nothing doing any time the ball was advanced past the midfield. It's just crazy to me how this UCLA team is super talented even without Jess, but they're thoroughly lost without her in an attacking role. They should have beat this team 5-0 with how much possession they had, yet it took a golazo to win 😂😂😂
Side note: the announcer was worse than the commentators on the NC-Chi call, yet he pronounced Julia Hernandez's name correctly 🙃
People have told me many times that one doesn't need somebody to be happy. As much as I find this true, I've grown to believe that it's been worded terribly. Through time I've grown to be very proud of what I am and who I am; I already know that I am Erick Delgado, and have my strengths and weaknesses. I don't need someone to guide me in life, I can take this trail alone as I've done many times so far. Though as time passes things begin to get dark, one can get lost. I may have my own light to guide myself, but the darkness is very mysterious and many things hide within it. As much as I may know the trail I'm taking, when things get dark it's no longer familiar and can downright terrify a person.
My flashlight guides me through the darkness but one only has so much sanity. Someone else tends to be necessary, to help out with keeping things in order. For keeping each other's sanity as they travel together down a similar path, seemingly more at peace as a pair opposed to alone. Even if one can get lost, it's better to be lost with another, they can find their way back no matter how many detours they take since they'll be at each others side. If it gets dark one can brighten up what the other can't.
This trail is possible to take alone, but there is a point where someone may be necessary to keep one relieved of the night fall that comes in its cycle.
To briefen my thought, the term "You don't need someone to be happy" isn't fully true. No one is necessary to be content, but the someone people look for is for relief. To be able to catch a breath of sanity when night comes, instead of facing it alone.
