Her first time in Rio was proving to be as incredible as hoped. There were far too many sights and smells for her to take in at any given moment, so she’d become content with letting things pass her by. That was, until she could no longer ignore all the people, flying?
Without thinking she paused where she was, hardly noticing the male next to her as her head stayed pointed firmly skyward. Her finger, with a mind of its own, was following one of the orange specks soaring high above the beach, and she was so engrossed that she jumped slightly when the figure next to her started speaking. “Oh, that’s what it is? Maybe I should try it out sometime…”
It was strange, to be back here in Rio after so long. But as far as he was concerned, it was break time - he needed time to visit his family, and that was all there was to it. What was stranger was a girl just stopping dead in the middle of the street and just pointing. He couldn’t help sniffing a laugh at that.
“Pssh, yeah, if you’ve got a couple hundred dollars to spare,” he mused, raising his eyebrows as he looked up at the hang-gliders. Tourists were always... interesting. And stupid, for the most part - the amount of suckers he’d managed to con with little street tricks before he’d gone to the temple was just ridiculous. Maybe it was growing up in a city, surrounded by hustle and bustle and crime, but all of this seemed so second nature to him that it was often tricky to comprehend how clueless some people really were to city life.
Was this girl... alone? In Rio? That absolutely did not sit right with him - didn’t she know what this place could be like? Especially to tourists...
