On Porcia in TNT Julius Caesar. Same. That show had some good parts (Ian Duncan especially) but get Porcia was... eh. My friend described her as "Not very Porcia-like". Her overhearing the conspiracy completely negates everything about her importance. The good parts with her are 1) we get to see her, Marcus, Brutus, and Julia as smols and 2) apparently Porcia wakes Brutus up by sort of smacking him in the face.
I totally agree with you! It takes away a lot of the fact that Porcia was, by all accounts, very intentional, knowledgable, and determined, so making her accidental kind of takes away a lot of what was so incredible about her. Nor can I see calpurnia being all that important to her. But I do agree, the squad of tiny smols was painfully cute, and the waking up method made me giggle some.
