I was thinking
I know we're all kinda upset there's no Eddie so far in the promos and all but a small part of me thinks that's okay because it could mean he probably doesn't have any major drama on his life right now?
Like they're all in the kitchen, having breakfast and talking about life and problems and Eddie's like, "nah I'm good, actually I'm trying to bake some bread with Chris?"
I mean, could we handle Athena going back to work, Bobby worrying, Michael and the Doctor, Maddie pregnant, Chim overreacting, Hen in medical school, Buck figuring out his life and also some drama with Eddie? All in what, the first 5, 6 episodes?
I like to think that Pepa's good, Tia's good, Chris most importantly is good, then Eddie's also okay 😂 I do hope he's got more interactions on the next episodes, tho (I guess the crossover is going to give us this at least, fingers crossed fam!)
I know maybe I'm being innocent and idk... But I had to get this out here 💁🙆
Idk. Let's see what we'll have this season 😂
My lovelie @loveyourownsmiilee tagged me a few days back, sorry it took me so long to do it, babe! Let's go:

for context in this post you need to know that I am Brazilian.
so I was struck by the sudden need of listening to Matthias Schoenaerts speaking in french and decided to look for a random interview just to, you know, get it over it.
aND IN THE FIRST ONE THAT I CLICKED ON HE'S WEARING A CBF (Brazilian Confederation of Football, if my translation is correct) T-SHIRT AND I'M LIKE?????(
what??? whAt???? WHAT????
Not only what but WHY? What's the context here sir? Please explain!!!
That's it folks, a post about my exasperated self upon finding this gem
(it's also adorable in the beginning when he's teaching (?) the interviewer how to pronounce his name)
I'm gonna confess something to you guys: this scene lives in my mind rent free since I watched the movie for the first time
(I can't remember where this gif is from. Please if it's yours let me know and I will credit!!)
And I'll tell you why: I'm a librarian and among others, book history is one of the subjects that I Like A Lot™ in my field.
That being said, I did a very simple research (aka I quickly googled it) and Don Quixote came out in 1600something, that is, the 17th century.
Considering that Andy and Booker are (probably) talking about the very first edition, when they printed it for the first time, there is no way, and I admit I may be wrong and I'm also taking a wild guess here, that the book in this scene is a 17th century book.
My guess is this book in question, that they used in this scene, is at minimum from the 18th century. I would go as far as say it's actually from the 19th century.
And there's also very few ways, or no way at all, that a 1600something book would be this well preserved.
We could think, of course, that it's a first edition in another country outside of Europe*, like in Brazil, where printing didn't officially start until the Portuguese Royal Family came here, in the 1800s.
But I think that in the movie they meant to say that the book is actually the first, first edition, from when it was first published in Europe, Madrid if I’m not mistaken.
Now I, a grad student with lots of reading to do, two papers to write and one to review and submit, am thinking about writing a 15 pages paper about how this book can and cannot be a First Edition Don Quixote ™
(God, please help me. 😂)
*in a little behind in the subject but printing in Europe, not all of it of course but a lot of its countries, began in the 15th century because of Johannes Gutenberg. But, in countries outside of Europe, like Brazil, it didn't officially start until a few decades or centuries after.
ANOTHER QUESTION that this moment brings is: is Booker a bibliophile? Does he collect books specifically or he just collects old things, period? If he collects books, does he have a house with a library for it, or every safehouse of theirs has a little library of books that he either bought or got as a gift?
so many questions!!!
this new account of Oliver's really speaks to me because a while back I started the same thing (an Instagram to capture and post everyday little things I saw on my way to college/work/home) and tbh people, it's really nice and I recommend we all do it
(said Instagram is abandoned now and I have been thinking of getting back to it but I'm not leaving my house, soooo....)
Ryan has a daughter now this is soooooo cute!!!!
Im writing a personal statement that needs to be 500 words max which okay but I need to get rid of 55 words now and can't for the life of me do it 🥴😭
