The biggest thing that's ever happened to me is ending on July 15. Yeah, you can say the story will always live on, but what's gonna happen to the cast and crew after this? The fans? Around the world, our connection has always been this saga, and now, I don't know how we're going to connect, who's gonna be there and who's not. It's just been unimaginable, what this has become. An extremely poor woman sits on a train and comes up with an idea for a boy wizard. Now, that woman is either richer or more powerful than the Queen of England. Now, hundreds of millions of people all know her name and the phenomenon she started, that we all came to love.
She's made so many lives better, so many childhoods, that you can't just say "thank you" to her. You don't know what to say. The cast, who we've grown up with and who have grown up with each other, will never be forgotten in my mind. They've been through so much, I don't know how they can cope with it all ending. I don't know how every time they get on camera or on-screen in an interview, how they're not bursting out with tears.
The worst part about it is that no one is really here with me, none of my friends, to understand what I'm going through. They all hate Harry Potter, and that's fine with me. There's some who really like it, some who love it, but no one that can really relate to what I'm going through. I wish I had someone, but then I realized that there's so many of them on here. Tumblr. And that's the only real connection we all have together, us Harry Potter fans around the world. I just hate to see it all end. 10 years. 10 years since anyone really came around to knowing what and who Harry Potter is. And every now and then, I keep thinking, "Oh yeah, when's the next Harry Potter movie coming out?" There was always one coming out every year or two. But not anymore. The final one, coming out on July 15, is it. I'm not ready for that. It's too close. In exactly one week, at this time, I'm probably gonna be in my line already for the midnight premiere. But that's way too close. One week. I remember a couple months ago how I just kept saying to myself, "It's too far away, it needs to get here quicker." Now I wish it was as far away as it was back then.
I just finished watching the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 London premiere online, and wow. It was getting me so close to tears, seeing all of the cast and crew explaining how it's been and knowing that this would be one of the last times, if not THE last, they're all together. It's not just me and the millions of other Harry Potter fans I feel bad for. It's them too. They've ALSO grown up together with this saga, and filmed since they were around 11 years old. Now they're around 21. Their whole teenage years, transition to adulthood, and some of their childhood has been impacted and changed with this. Now, their careers are going to take different paths which it hasn't done in the last decade.
And J.K. Rowling. Wow. What to say about her. The most influential and greatest woman I've ever seen. The millions of lives she's changed, the important virtues she's taught in every single one of her books, THE DEPTH she installed in every one, is just incomparable. To anyone. Her life has changed drastically too. From being that poor, penniless woman on the train, to a multi-billionaire. All of that came from the story of a little wizard boy taken to a school of magic. I simply can't say enough about her. She's changed my life so much, and she just clearly is MY CHILDHOOD. I'm honestly thinking about what to say about her, but I just can't put it into words. And I don't think I need to.
This post has made me feel a little better, letting all of this out. But I know, at around 2:10 AM on July 15, 2011, I am going to be sitting in Regal Hacienda Crossings Stadium 21 in theater 21 IMAX, crying my eyes out. I'm not going to leave for a while. And I'm sure, that in theaters around the world, people won't either.
