An icon for the Botley Scale minigame from JumpStart Academy Math.
JumpStart Academy Math was adapted from a pre-existing educational program called Sokkikom. This program had its own robot mascot named Clink, similar to Botley in the JumpStart series. When Sokkikom was repurposed into JumpStart Academy Math, none of Sokkikom's characters were brought over, due to the cast being entirely replaced by JumpStart characters, thus barring any possibility of a crossover with the Sokkikom cast and JumpStart cast.
JumpStart Academy Math, which was initially launched in 2018, featured a minigame called Botley Scale, which centered around Botley, as the name indicates. This is notably the most recent (and last) official JumpStart game to feature Botley at all, if going by the date that he debuted in said media. Botley also appeared in the JumpStart MMO and JumpStart Junior, which were ongoing up until JumpStart's closure in 2023. However, the years that he debuted in those games were 2010 (for the MMO) and 2015 (for JumpStart Junior) respectively, making JumpStart Academy Math his last reappearance.
JumpStart Academy Math used an animation method called rigging, in which different parts of a character are separate pieces that can be moved independently of each other. Shown here is Hops' in-game appearance from JumpStart Academy Math (top) and his sprite sheet (bottom). All of the individual pieces in the sprite sheet would be layered on top of each other and animated programmatically in the game.
One of the accessories in JumpStart Academy Math was based on the Infinity Gauntlet, an item that has appeared in multiple Marvel comics and films. While the placement of the gems varies somewhat from Marvel's designs, the reference is definitely intentional due to the fact that the filename of the accessory is InfinityGauntlet.svg.
In JumpStart Academy Math, several characters appear as possible avatars for the player. The avatars all share the same base for the bodies, which often makes them inconsistent with the original Academy character designs. Shown here are Pierre’s and Dee Dee’s standard Academy designs (left) compared with their Academy Math avatars (right). Pierre’s avatar makes him look much thinner, and Dee Dee’s avatar has paw-like hands and feet instead of wings and webbed feet. (2018)

While the JumpStart Academy games were being worked on and released, several screenshots were uploaded to the JumpStart website, presumably to keep track of changes, errors, and other aspects related to development. This particular screenshot depicts a screen from JumpStart Academy Math. When zoomed in, various bookmarks can be seen related to JumpStart Academy, math concepts, as well as lennyfaces.net.
