“Anthem of the Heart” Jun Naruse headcanons

I haven’t stopped thinking about this movie since I first saw it in September of last year, now I have headcanons for it (and a 3k+ fic that will hopefully be up soon, lol), and no one can stop me.

1. (Just in case, using some creative license for this bit, mostly about the songs being in the public domain (I think they are, but just in case, lol))

Since Jun wrote the story behind the musical and all the songs they used for it are in the public domain by the time they put it on, she's encouraged by her friends and homeroom/music teacher to try to publish it shortly after, the songs with it.

She's apprehensive, but she loves the musical and owes it a lot, she feels, so in the end, she does (insisting on giving Sakagami and his family a fair share, of course, since he helped with putting her lyrics to song, his two friends who put the music together, too).

It's a hit. It has more of a quiet following than a loud one (musicals aren't huge outside of musical circles, after all, at least usually), but it gains a pretty huge one where musicals are concerned. She gets fan mail and letters from all over of people telling her how much her musical’s touched them and helped them with their own struggles in life, and she cries happy tears at every happy story she receives. She saves them all in a scrapbook. (By the time she goes to college, she has four, and more keep coming all the time.)

She uses that money to help put her through college.

2. Jun double majors in musical theater and creative writing in college.

This anime is so beautiful... I love how it tell a story in a simple but at the same time so powerfull way

I mean look at that. LOOK AT HOW Tasaki looks at Jun!!!!!

Man, I just can't appreciate him more.

They both deserve to be happy :')

Also, I just don't get the hate he's getting. I mean, is it just the bald look?? Seriously?? Just imagine if he grew his hair and let's see how you fawn over him. Try to put your Kuroo wig on him and see what I'm talkin about LOL. Y'all just don't see it, how big his heart is. Even without a mid length scruffy hair like Takumi, he is a fine MAN. A MAN I TELL YOU! Jun got such a fine piece of a nice big gentleman with a soft spot for her. Just how adorable is that. (go back to the train station scene where he was walking with Jun) And I am so proud of him and am happy for Jun.

I get it, I was broken too (temporarily). I thought she'd end up with Takumi. But I guess this just made me realize that we meet people for a reason to teach us something. That is what Jun and Takumi's encounter taught me.

But then comes Tasaki, and my gosh my heart was saved. Jun was saved! I am just so thankful for that ending. He just owned it.

My gosh the hate over this guy is nuts. For Nitou too, she is NOT A BITCH. DAFUQ. NO. I cannot with these people.

So there goes my appreciation post turned into a rant lol

I enjoyed and cried at the movie. Ending was great. That 'change' was foreshadowed I think. Tasaki is a hero and no one can make me think otherwise.
