it happened so fast. one minutes he roamed the place, without a care. then the worst happened. toe collided with polished oak, producing some sort of blunt cacophony. another horrible sound followed, escaping her wide open mouth. bram jumped backwards on one leg, having previously grabbed the injured foot with her hand. “ahhhh i hate everything !” she hollered. “who even put stairs here ? why would somebody do this ? do you have some ice ?”
“What is it you need these cupcakes for?” Marley asked curiously, hopped up on the counter as she watched June work. While the other was turned away, she was quick to dip her finger through the batter.
