hello here is a pet peeve of mine: casually saying that by re-using or upcycling something, you are "saving it from the landfill"
i love re-using stuff and upcycling and making things from stuff you'd otherwise throw away, BUT all of it will end up in a landfill either when the thing you made is no longer fit for purpose, or when you die, or maybe when someone else who has inherited it dies. you are DELAYING when that thing goes to landfill, not saving it from that fate.
and i knowww this isn't a huge deal, but i think it's honestly important overall that we are honest about the issue of landfills and so on.
the reason why upcycling etc is good for the environment is because it stops you buying new. i almost never buy new scrapbooking paper, because i use my mum's old magazines; someone who uses monster energy cans to make spikes for a jacket isn't buying spikes off amazon; someone who upcycles an old t-shirt into a new one they like more isn't buying a new shirt. (it also often saves you money, which is very nice)
but every single one of those projects will eventually end up in a landfill, at least all the components of it that you can't disassemble into parts that can be recycled.

Happy Valentine's Day to all in the Helleverse! Have a HuskerDust junk scrapbook page! (trust me it looks so much better in person - still trying to figure out the best way to do the photography in an affordable manner >w>; )
Special thanks to SaberGhatzStudio on Etsy for their fantastic stickers! They're so cute and made the page really fun to make!
