Junkyard Jive - Poppet Spell

What You’ll Need:

Silver or gray fabric/material

Silver, gray, white, or black thread

A needle

Sand, salt, sugar, or plush stuffing (depending on what you prefer)

Photo/petition of target

Tag from the target, hair, nail, saliva, blood, etc. (optional)

Appropriate magical oils based on your intent (love, protection, pain, etc.)

Appropriate herbs based on your intent

Appropriate stones based on your intent (optional)

Buttons, beads, etc. for eyes (optional)

What to do:

1. Create a poppet using the fabric, thread, and needle. Leave the top of it open so you can place the ingredients inside.

2. Fill the poppet half way with the sand/salt/sugar/stuffing.

3. Anoint the photo/petition with your chosen oil(s). Place it into the poppet, folding if needed.

4. Place in the appropriate herbs and stones, based on your intent.

5. Sew up the rest of the poppet, closing it. Sew on the buttons/beads for eyes.

6. Treat the poppet appropriately based on your intentions. If it’s a love poppet, hold it and cuddle it. If it’s a protection poppet, keep it safe and secure. If it’s a curse poppet, beat the living shit out of it, set it on fire, boil it in water, etc. etc.

To break the spell/curse:

If you’ve sewn buttons on as eyes, remove them. Cut off the poppet’s hands, then remove the contents of the poppet and throw it away.
