Catching Feeling || Justin & Lana
Justin’s nerves to tell Lana about his sudden feelings for her were instantly tossed out the window when he got that text message from Lana. Justin I like you. Those four words are what gave him the confidence to do what he was about to do and immediately brought an unfading smile to his face. He was going to tell her that he returned her feelings, and he was going to do it in the right way: he was going to do it in person. So once she asked if he wanted to come over, he quickly accepted and got up to get ready as soon as he sent his last message. He was just going over to her house, but he wanted everything to be perfect so that meant he had to look at least somewhat decent. He changed out of his everyday sit around the white t-shirt and into one of his oh so famous flannel button up shirts. After changing into that, he located his shoes (and put them on), slipped his phone and wallet into his pocket, grabbed his keys and walked out the door.
To be honest, Justin wasn’t sure how he was going to tell her yet, even as he unlocked his car and got into it. He was still debating the possible ways on how he could come across it. I mean, he had known her for as long as he and Steven were friends, which was probably since elementary school. But even so, they hadn’t talked as much as she had with the other boys. He didn’t know why this was so until fifteen minutes before now. He let out a sigh at the thought of liking one of his best friends’ sister. Though he was sure Steven wouldn’t mind it much, he still couldn’t help but think about how close the brother and sister were. But whether he approved or not, Justin was still going to tell her. He took in a deep breath before he started the car, pushing the key into the ignition and turning it in order for the engine to start. And when he finished sitting in the driveway idly for a few seconds, he finally decided to press on the gas petal slowly and pull out of the driveway.
It didn’t take long before Justin pulled up to the Smythe-Karofsky residence in the record time of five minutes. It usually didn’t take long for him to get there, but it was a miracle that he got there within five minutes in one piece. As soon as he parked the car out in front of the house, he took the keys out of the ignition, got out of the car, and headed towards the door. His newfound confidence took the place of nerves as he walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. He didn’t even say a word to her through the door and, instead, took it as the final opportunity to decide what he was going to do. And even a couple of seconds before Lana answered the door, he head figured out his plan.
