♡: Accidentally falling asleep together

Sophia felt very comfortable around Carl. She found herself beside him in the evening more often then not; when she was feeling homesick or just sad. But also at times where she just felt like chatting. Carl was the only one her age so it wasn’t that strange they enjoyed spending time with one another. Sophia sat beside Carl, knees pulled up. They had been chatting about a silly childhood-show they used to watch before the outbreak; trying to remember how it went. But it was late and Sophia slowly started to dose off.

Though my word may not mean much to you, I sit here wishing that you weren’t so blue. The times will change, And the wind will blow, And you’ll learn to take it slow.

For this is just young life, We’ve only begun. We still have time to forget the aching romance of the Earth, And just lie in the sun.

We’ll bake until our skin burns, The laughing memory, too, scorched into our heads. And then later, We’ll dream of it in our beds.

For this is just young life, Crushes and small-time lusts, We’ll forget about them later. They were only wind gusts, Blowing softly through our lives.
