Status Update Part II

So I've thought about things while I was away. I've reached a decision about the direction I'd like to take with this blog.

I'll be taking an experimental route by writing poems, short stories and typing out whatever comes to my mind. I'll also be reposting my work on my sister blog, justasimone-stories.

I feel the need to release more creative content and less random memes. I didn't have much time or energy to do this in the earlier days of this blog . However, I believe the necessary changes I need to make will come in tandem with this new year.

If you aren't alright with the new direction of this blog, feel free to unfollow me.

I will not be changing myself for anyone else. I will stay true to myself.

An entry of my thoughts

Today I'm feeling as if I'm caught on edge. I feel as if the glimmering light that's supposed to be at the end of the tunnel is getting further away. I feel as if the beckoning light is no more than a ruse at times, it's as if her radiant glow is only a grim reminder of something I can never have.

I attempt to dance with her amidst the chaos within my life and yet the moment seems only ephemeral at best. Everyday my depression only seems to get worse as it shrouds me from the light. The smoke of negative, miserable ether only pushes her further away. I can't see the twinkle of hope that I thought was always by my side.

Instead, the grave thunder of melancholy rumbles in my thoughts. The quiet, night sky of twinkling hope within my mind have now been transformed into a brewing storm. The disaster I've known too well has reared itself within my psyche and claimed my mind once again. The mental landscape within me trembles with fear as the cyclone begins to form, swirling with pandemonium as it prepares to smite all in its path.

Each time the storm comes back I fear I may never survive. I keep telling myself that I've been able to withstand the storm. What if I never make it out? I'm wiser and weathered, but at what cost?
