Every year on July 17, World Day for International Justice is observed all around the world. The theme this year is “Achieving social justice through formal employment”. International Justice Day aims to unite everyone who wants to support justice as well as promote victims' rights. It is to help prevent serious crimes and those that put the peace, security and well-being of the world at risk. Taking the talk further, let's talk about social justice. Let’s recall the American Supreme court decision about abortion. Can we quote it as an example of social justice? Well, I doubt it. The supreme court has ruled there is no constitutional right to abortion in the United States, upending the landmark Roe v Wade case from nearly 50 years ago in a rare reversal of long-settled law that will fracture reproductive rights in America. Joe Biden called the ruling a “tragic error” and the Republicans celebrated it as “wrong, extreme and out of touch”.
