Met this guy a few years ago at South Side on Lamar lofts during the launch of my modeling career. We hung out and connected on a very spiritually "abstrakt" level. We laughed on the inside for hours that day... I'd always found Abstrakt to be a rather unique and adventurous soul and from our conversations I knew he was a very special person, maybe even from another planet, haha! He was always positive and forward thinking and his favorite words seemed to be "steez" and "peace". Abstrakt called me from Dallas County jail a few weeks back and told me he'd got into some trouble with the wrong crowd... We took the time to catch up, he sang me a new song, I sang him a new song. Now, I have received the news that this outstanding being, James "Abstrakt" Mitchell, has been sentenced to life in prison for murder. I never would have thought... and it's hard to believe that he would ever do such a thing. I ask God for peace, love, light, and understanding.
