backstage after a show is always crowded and chaotic, but that’s how renegade likes it. they won’t play stadiums or theaters, preferring much smaller venues to those more mainstream options. breathing the same stifling air and sweating all over each other may not sound appealing to most artists, but for renegade it’s a way to stay grounded, connected to their fanbase. so is the post - show chaos backstage. they don’t really have security ( despite their new label’s many protests ) and it’s well - known that anyone is welcome to stop by if they want to hang out after the show. his skin is still sticky with sweat, throat impossibly dry despite several gulps of shitty beer, yet parker mills around excitedly because everyone wants his attention. cameras, fans, groupies who flirt even after he’s gently brushed them off. that’s what he’s doing — carefully removing some girl’s hand from trailing along his chest — when a familiar face suddenly floats into view. “look what the bloody cat dragged in!” stepping away from his admirer with a triumphant noise, parker hurried over to greet the unexpected arrival and pull him out of the pulsing crowd. “what the hell are you doing here?” he beamed at lucky despite being surprised to see him. / @justlvcky
