Hai! So i read few of your posts and i find them very intresting and well written!^∆^ I wonder if you can give me advice &name some -not ooc dick, jay, dami, tim comics - not ooc + good n52 comics in general :3 ^^thank u & sry if im bothering u!
Ahaha, no you’re not bothering me. Hello! I have a [comic recs tag] that mostly focuses on Dick, so you might want to check that out. Since there’s a lot on it, I would boil it down to Teen Titans Year One, Nightwing Year One and The Black Mirror for simplicity. (I’m sure Nightwing Year One is expensive in trade form right now, so you can also find it in singles: Nightwing #101 -106.) As for the other boys:
Jason Todd: Batman: Under the Red Hood, which collects Batman #635 - 641, #645 - 650 and Batman Annual #25. In addition to that, Red Hood: The Lost Days is a must for Jason fans. If you want a look at Jason as Robin, I would recommend Batman #424 - 428.Tim Drake: Tim first appears in A Lonely Place of Dying, which collects Batman #440 - 442 & New Titans #60 - 61. From there, I have trouble recommending random story arcs for Tim because he doesn’t have many self-contained arcs. I would say to pick up Robin Vol 2 #1 and read until you get bored / become an obsessive Tim Drake fan. You also might be interested in Young Justice (the 1998 title). The Red Robin run tends to be a fan favorite and is the most recent Pre-52 depiction of Tim, though it’s during a darker era for him.Damian Wayne: Damian first appears in Batman #655 - 658. You can read Batman and Robin Vol 1 #1 - 26. I would also recommend Streets of Gotham, especially since Damian had a solo arc in there.
You didn’t ask about Cass and Steph, but I’ll go ahead and offer those anyway.
Cassandra Cain: Batgirl Vol 1. This was an awesome run until it got weird at the end. If you like Cass in this run, you can look into her other stuff.Stephanie Brown: If you end up reading Robin Vol 2, you’ll get great exposure to Steph. In addition to that, Batgirl Vol 3 is great.
I tried to keep this list small and accessible so that you can get a feel for each character without feeling overwhelmed with thousands of comics.
As for New 52 comics, I don’t recommend any of them. I don’t care for the reboot and feel it’s a bad representation of all of these characters and their relationships (especially since Cass and Steph are basically nonexistent). I hear Batman Eternal is well-recommended, so you might be interested in that, but as far as I’m concerned, the New 52 only offers a pale version of the Batfamily relationships that were developed in the Pre-52. Good luck and have fun losing your soul to the Batfamily reading.
