When a female kaleesh gets pregnant she is gravid for 8 weeks! During this time they are largely miserable. Everything hurts, they are very large, & their moods be swinging. But! They do get to sit in the best place for the sun to take naps between eating a lot. Bone broth, marrow & stuffed breads are gravid staples. At week 6 she will go into nesting mode. Spouses usually set up most of the nesting space b/c otherwise mom will waddle around getting into trouble looking for ✨stuff✨. Kaleesh will usually lay one big egg per pregnancy, averaging 20 inches long!

[Yeah! Kaleesh scales are like snakes & lizard scales which means they're part of the skin. Their skin is pretty elastic. This is most obvious in pregnant females, who have to hydrate or diedrate to maintain elasticity among other things. Google egg eating snake or great jagras for more examples lol.

Their scales help them retain water, protect their skin from the sun, & keep all but the most determined parasites out. This is also why tattoos are only practiced in specific groups bc it's a pain in the ass to maintain with regular shedding. ]
