1. Toddlers dressed in elaborate Halloween costumes 2. Being called pretty 3. When strangers smile back at you 4. When strangers smile at you first 5. When people understand my lame pop culture references 6. New music that is really amazing 7. When everyone at a concert is singing as loud as the can and the lead singer stops and just nods their head and smiles 8. A really great kiss 9. Waking up and feeling really well rested 10. Having a great jam session in the car to good music 11. Finally figuring out the lyrics to the weird part of the song you've been listening to for a long time 12. Meeting new people and easily being friends with them 13. Opening a gift and realizing it was something you really wanted 14. Getting something for free 15. Realizing when you're happy

I'm supposed to tag 15 people to do this and it was kind of cool to think of happy things so i'm gonna tag some people that i can think of and do it if you want okbye

Ten things that make me happy.

Once a month, I make a list of 10 things that make me happy. I started these lists almost a year ago after the crazy time i went through last spring. I wouldn't have made it through everything if it wasn't for my friends who have stuck by me since day one.

For them I am so so thankful of all the times they were there for me. Between being drunk and crying at 3 o'clock in the morning, or simple mid-day texts asking if I need to get anything off my chest, they've been honest with me through everything, and never once looked at me through eyes of judgement. They give me space when they know I need it, but know exactly when to show up at my door with Starbucks, box of kleenex and a copy of the breakfast club in hand

These lists were really hard for me in the beginning. It was almost impossible for me to think of ten whole things to write about which make me genuinely happy. But to my surprise, as the months went on, it got easier and easier. The only rule I give myself is that I can't reuse items on the list. Everything must be something new that I discovered that month.  After one year I have 120 things that make me happy. Here's to 120 more.

The feeling you get after a plane makes a safe landing

The feeling of a blanket fresh out of the dryer

The cold side of the pillow

My candle that smells like raspberries

Going on long walks with my boyfriend

When I preorder an album and it automatically downloads onto my phone.

Creating new Starbucks drinks

Please do not do this to yourself. I have lost two friends within a month from suicide and the pain everyone in the community goes through is crazy. Dont you dare think that no one will be there because i swear on my god damn life that i would if i could. I sufr from deprssion aswell and i realized that no matter how hard it is to pull yourself out of that pit, even if you almost dont want to you gotta get up walk outside and take a breath.
