K-101 BUILDER MOD - LET THE CHANGES BEGIN

WHAT'S THE K-101 BUILDER MOD? It’s a replacement to all of EAxis floors. ALL. OF. THEM. Base Game, Expansion Pack and Game Pack included. In-game and in Build mode.

For today, we are releasing the Basegame package. 90 floors. Across all categories. It is the biggest file of this mod.

WHEN WILL YOU RELEASE EP/GP/SP FLOORS? Soon. Since the K-101 is working so well with the K505, we’ll certainly release new files with updates of the K-505. Also, this is a heavy hint to get the K-505 if you don’t already have it.

WILL IT BREAK MY GAME? WILL IT SLOW IT DOWN? No and No. This is a replacement mod. Just like the K-505. It only replace the graphic files the game show you. The game doesn’t even make the difference. It’s only looking for instance XYZ to show on that floor. We are only replace instance XYZ by our beautiful file. End of the story. We pay attention to not overweight the files. High quality doesn’t always equate heavier files. It’s also about working correctly.

BUT I LIKED THAT PLASTIC WOOD FLOOR! CAN I PICK AND CHOOSE? Not with the Basegame file. That will might be possible with some GP/SP because there're 2 floors at most ... For the whole of the game, with all EP/GP/SP, it's a huge folder of more than a hundred files. It's too big, too heavy and then there's the problem of the language. You'll see the name of the floor in your language in your game and it won't be the packages' names.

We made choices. You'll like them, you trust us before :)

BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM! Check your game is up to date. Check your graphic card drivers are up to date. If you still have problems, don’t hesitate to reach out.

THIS IS WONDERFUL BUT THE THUMBNAILS... Changing the thumbnails would : - put more weight on the game - would create conflicts within the game instances. Don’t look for logic, this game doesn’t have any.

One last thing: for the first time, we are asking you to consider donating. If you feel like we deserve it. Don’t worry, we are not running to Patreon or anything. We always had a donation link on our website, we always said we’ll be free and we always fought against pay links and the such. We are not asking because we are want to be paid for. We’ll keep creating no matter what, it’s just a nice way to show your support. It is no small feat to make those mods, it’s even harder to ask for your support, in all possible ways. K-505 + K-101 MODS - REALM OF MAGIC UPDATE Glimmerbrook is a small town, more of a village really, in the countryside and if you already know about the Winchester brothers, you are not surprised that such a place hide a gate to a special place.

It’s ok. Not all village is a normal village. But all village deserve better textures Grass well-tended, clean paved path,  proper dust road, soft riverbed, perfect road. It’s a small place, there’s no reason for not taking care of it. After all, if some people choose to live there, they also deserve all our attention. So is the secret place.

If you haven’t tested the K-101 Builder Mod, now would be the perfect time as this update change only 2 files: a pavement and a wood flooring. Please remember this is not a complete replacement, more of a blend-in. The floors are the same, they are just better textured.

As for the K-505 Terrain Mod, you’ll find the folder for Realm of Magic with 2 files: one for nature and one for urban. Both files cover all Realm of Magic places: Glimmerbrook, the muggle village and Glimmerbrook, the magical place. Add the files to your mod folder and you are good to go !

WHAT'S THE K-101 BUILDER MOD?
 It’s a replacement to all of EAxis floors. ALL. OF. THEM. Base Game, Expansion Pack and Game Pack included. In-game and in Build mode.

 WHAAAT?
 Yup, you read that right. We are replacing all of the default floors. This mean: every floor already use in prebuilt houses and community places will be replaced from Willow Creek to Britechester-Oxbridge. More than that, they will be re-textured. It means that when you'll want to use that floor from EA that you typically use, it won't be the same anymore while being the same.

We reworked everything but kept it EAxis. In most cases, we kept the colours and the style of EAxis, what is plank wood is still plank wood. More texturized, in higher definition, with more details and realism. A floor that is less plastic, more grounded.

It’s the next step of K-505 Terrain Mod. While K 505 was all about pixelated feet on real grass. The K-101 Builder Mod is the natural extension. We've done outside. Now we're doing inside. It's the next level of our work. And we hope, the next level of the CC scene.

WHY? In our quest to beautify the game, we always aimed to change as much file as we could.  It’s an herculean task. To which we can’t dedicate as much time as we’d like but still always on our minds.

It’s now 6 years since Sims 4 first released and we still can’t work with the cartoon/plastic feel of the game. It is a replacement of the game floors, less cartoonish, more texturized. Better looking. It standardizes the look of the game between the terrains files and the inside of your house, your neighbor's place and the gym you go to.

You changed the grass because, just like us, you didn’t like the muddied look of the grass. What about that plastic wood? What about that strange tiled floor in everyones bathroom/kitchen? Don’t start us on the carpet …

Just like with the grass, we texturized. That’s all. We took the file, texturized them. Put them back in. It gives a breath of fresh air. No more plastic toxic fume in your Sims House. No more heated interior under the bright sun of summer because you forgot to open the non-opening window and now the floor is lava.

OK, BUT... It’s enhance the game! It will stop the visual differences we ALL see, whether you are a maxis match CC/player or a Alpha CC/player. Those maxis floors are just .. in the way … one can’t really do without them nor with them. We’re all looking for alternatives. And the alternatives is not to make a complete Pantone swatch of the same flexwood floor. It’s to give texture, depth, feel, LIFE.

We strongly believe everyone should use them to unify the look, to help give a hunch to what we’re all striving for in term of visual aspects of Sims 4. It is the perfect base for everyone. FINE! GIVE THE DOWNLOAD LINK ALREADY Soon and more to come ;) Have fun !

APRIL NEWS : BUILDERS WEEK

1) K-101 Builder Mod

Just to make it clear: the K-101 Builder Mod includes +80 floors from BaseGame and, except 2 or 3 floors, are more or less Maxis files. They are the same floors you have in your game: fully retextured.

It means 2 things:

it is the perfect extension to K-505, it contributes to removing the different visual style between outside and inside.

it is also perfect without the K-505, is perfect for alpha lovers and maxis match players. Because it retexturizes AND adds textures

The K-101 is not just another layer of floors. They are not just replacement of Maxis default. They are an improvement of Maxis default.

The K-101, just like the K-505, is part of our longterm project: giving a more interesting look and feel to the game. Indeed, we are trying to make it less plastic. Not more or better. Only less plastic. To what point you may ask ... good question!

Answer: so the game pleases more players. Some players will always love the actual style. That's fine! Some players will never stand it and change everything they can. That's fine too! There are players in between. Those who like the grass as is but prefered the walls less cartoon. Or the roofs are problems, etc. etc. etc. We aimed to provide that change. The K-Mods are perfect for that, as they are independent between themselves and still add value. Our files are improvements of Maxis default. That being said, expect updates to the K101 really soon :)

NEW AND UPCOMING

2) K-606 Foundation Mod

Yes! A new mod withing the K-Mods universe. The K606 is about house foundations. Just like the K-101, they are Maxis default foundations but improved with textures.

All foundations of the game are included from basegame, all expansions and game packs.
