Can we normalize not asking if we can normalize something because we've had or heard of one singular bad experience with that one thing because a one-time bad experience doesn't mean the thing you don't like is a normal thing

Oh boy if I had a nickel for every time I've said "like" in my sentence every 2 seconds and then felt pissed at myself for being a hypocrite because I hate it when people do that because it gets annoying way too quickly, I could probably pay off the U.S. national debt
