I couldn't miss out the trio-names puns that was also going on with Kabuto-Misumi-Yoroi, and because Orochimaru is the funniest sannin ever. They deserved a wagashi genin team.
This guy immediately made me think of Warabi kinako (a type of mochi coated in toasted soybean flour + syrup). It was kind of funny that he lasted long enough as a npc to show up in Naruto movie as a bg character lol, he was also there at the chunin exam.
The third guy in the team probably named Kurogoma (my favorite ice cream, black sesame) OR Hojicha (any type of roasted tea would be good tbh) But he was never mentioned anywhere, I'm under the impression that he must've dropped out or Oro's genin team already passed Chunin by the time Nawaki was assigned as their new genin team?
I hc Warabi to be not nearly interested enough to held Oro's interest nor does he stand out as a specialized ninja, but Oro (as a sannin) refused to neglect training any of their genins, pushed him to be a more competent ninja. (all his stats are 3.5 except juinjutsu/ sealing 2)
He wasn't particularly talented but was skilled enough for Oro to contact and arrange Kabuto's team.
He was neither Oro's spy nor Konoha loyalist, he was neutral (and morally gray) enough to get rid of the entire Kabuto's team if they compromise Orochimaru's plan or endangered Konoha (prematurely).
Sort of a stalemate pawn. He was paid by Oro to cooperate and play as Kabuto's team, genin teacher. And he was willing to go along as long as he get his checks.
He is slimy, not buying the whole will of fire thing but likes money and can be persuaded to turn a blind eye. He followed his own moral code, doesn't like unnecessary troubles. (<- can literally be anything from bad weather to getting rid of someone from ratting him out)
He enjoyed socializing and getting along with people. He dreams about a day when he will be able to drink with other nations jonins. (partially achievable post-fourth war)
Favorite food is Warabi kinako...lol....least favorite are seafoods.
He is so short....cute tiny sensei next to his powerhouse genin team
His natural release are Wind and Lightning (meant to counter his genin team)
I'm a little curious why he had round glasses as a genin then square glasses later,,..hmm will think this over.
