Alastor hissed, swatting at the bird lazily. “Fowl avian…. Don’t you know that’s rude?”

There's a small knock on the door to the Detective's room, and a small muffled voice from the other side.

"Hi, Shuichi! It's me, Kaede! You missed the welcoming party and dinner... so I brought you some food!"

The sound of something being put away can faintly be heard before the door is unlocked, revealing a quite tired looking Shuichi.

"Mm? Oh uh.. Hi Kaede. You.. really didn’t have to do that, but thanks."

A small smile formed on the detective’s face before he quickly turned away.

"If you want you can just leave it on the desk right there. I.. need to finish something first, and then I’ll eat it."
