I know I have been MIA for a while, I’m sorry about that! I am going to put more effort in being present on here and showing you guys what I’ve been up to! I love this photo because a lot of times we only get to see the ends and middles of my lash sets because of the angles that I ALWAYS take them from. But in this photo you can look over at the other eye and see exactly how I like to shape the inner corners. I always size down 5-6 sizes from my longest length. So if I’m doing a 15mm Kitten-Eye, my shortest inner lash would be a 9mm/10mm. If I did 14mm, I would bring it down to 8mm/9mm. I love that much size difference because it makes the longest length look that much longer and the eye that much more structured. It’s hard to build a shape and see a lash length difference when your shortest and longest lash lengths are only 4mm difference. I hope this makes sense when you read it because it fully makes sense in my head but I’m a just lash artist, not a English major! Also, make sure to follow my new business venture, TEETH WHITENING! Hashtag Macro Lens. Here is my Macro Lens Lash Pic. I was feeling a little left out not having one so I jumped on @amazon and ordered my lens kit. It also came with a wide lens and a fisheye lens(which I used yesterday to take a pic of the lash studio, It’s on my story) I do enjoy the close up showing the fluffiness of the lash itself. However, I always see beauty in the entire lash as a whole, how the sizes melt together and the lash looks complete, and you just don’t get that with this view. So that’s that. But anyways! I don’t really know what to post as a caption with this photo... But I do appreciate amazing lash photos. As a busy and booked lash artist, it’s hard for me to stay on my after photos and I always think of taking the “Before photo” half way through the new set🙄 But I know how important it is to take photos. Not only for potential clients to see your work, but also, and more importantly, for yourself! A lot of times us, as lash artists, forget to check on our own progress. And when we work for ourselves, it’s hard to see growth because your have no one else to compare your work to; So photos are the best ways to tell. Also videos because you can truly see how good your isolation and angle placement of each fan is through videos. You’re able to see how the lash itself moves and whenever you have the wrong angles on a lash placement, you’ll see it stick out like a sore thumb in a video. Photos are great to show texture, and shape. I recently ordered a SD card reader that plugs into your iPhone, which will allow me to use my Canon camera with ease. I usually revert back to the iPhone photos because of the ease of having the photo ready to post instantly. But now with the card reader, I will be able to have clearer photos with better quality with the same ease of use! Also, I shoot with a Canon Rebel T5i These card readers can be bought from @apple Side Note: I don’t recommend getting the one from @amazon , because the card reader doesn’t work as good as the one straight from Apple! Lashology- The Study Of Lashes (& Lash Photos) Here is a little break down of my latest lash photo. I can tell that there was a little bit of texture. To create “texture with shape”, I include a 2mm difference in length. So if a particular section of the lash map is 15mm, I will also include 13mm lashes in that same section as well. From this photo I can also tell that the inner lashes are tappered down. Even when doing a Textured look, I still make sure that the inner and outer tapper are still clean. I can also tell that the longest length is in the middle of the eye. This allows the eyes to fully open up. And it also makes sure that the length isn’t in the ends, causing the eye to drop. And the last thing that I can tell is that this all created a Dark Lash Line. Using 0.03mm lashes almost always always give you a dark lash line. However, sometimes when your clients doesn’t have enough natural lashes to create that dreaming thick black liner look, include some shorter fans in the mix of longer lengths. The longer lengths will give the look the shape and length while the short lashes will maintain that dark lash line. ** I AM CURRENTLY ACCEPTING A FEW MORE LASH CLIENTS. Who doesn’t love a good C-Curl lewk? Out of all my 94 clients, I have 1 girl that gets a C-Curl; My beautiful client @stella.komihair The reason why her overall look looks like it’s a CC Curl ( which is curlier than a C and looser than a D) is because her natural lashes have an intense curl to it already. So when we did the D Curl on her, it was too much Curl. But when we placed the C Curl, it was a match made in heaven! Artists, it’s important to make sure you have all curls ready because when your client comes in asking for a certain alteration, you need to make sure you’re ready to provide her with the fix. And clients, make sure you voice your questions and concerns with your artist. We are here to give you the very best look for you!! And to turn you into the best version of you!!
