A harsh reunion
Karksat heard of the return of his friend and hardly waited to hear more from those at the temple as he took off. He was up a mountain was all he heard with the smell of worry and distress on the air from those talking. Bounding through the forest eager and stressed about the actions of the tau there he heard the calls from them to wait. Paying them no head the twigs slapped against his arms and legs as he entered the forest. Using his claws and talons to climb the rock face cliffs, dirt and stones fell as his ascent slowed as he had to climb. He hadn't heard anything from the Tau in over a year. Using the image of the map he saw moments of in his mind to locate his friend he slowed to make sure he didn't bound by as he started to search feverishly. The rocks shifted and ground against each other as he clambered about. Quills pointed out to detect vibrations as he turned his head about with a soft rattle of his quills. The wind pulled at him as the cooler air washed over him breaking up any clear scents he could use to locate his friend. "Kais?" Soon he moved about to locate the trickling noise of water. A small stream was here as he chirped softly as he looked about. Looks no up and down the water carved rocks he mulled over which direction he should go. Finally he picked upstream as he carefully picked his footing on the rocky slope. Calling out for his friend again, he continued up in weaving patterns in hope to find signs of the Tau. After hours of searching he froze as he caught wind of a trace. But as soon as he detected it it was gone, lost on the winds. Clacking his beak in thought, he turned and widened his area of looking to see if another strand of scent could be detected. "Kais?" He called out again as he was starting to doubt he was in the correct area for his friend. @kaismontyr
In fairness, whenever things don't go well with an election, we tend to just have another one anyway. It's like cheating in Dungeons and Dragons? Bad roll of the dice? Eh, re-roll it till we get something we like.

“I plan on this building to rot back into the ground if it becomes forgotten. While the stone will takes millennia to wear away, the wood will decay and return to the ecosystem. My footprint on the galaxy I wish to remain slight.”
He walked over to another patch to get it churned too.
“I have seen too many dead buildings with lost stories behind them to want that to happen here.”
“Well, that’s mighty profound of you.” The comment slipped out before she had a chance to stop it. There was no sarcasm within it, instead the words expressing how genuinely impressed she was with the humility of the campus’ design and destiny. “So... what exactly drew you here? Outside of the healing element.”

The elevator doors slid open, letting Kellan through past a small horde of outgoing people. A trading hub like this was one of few that allowed both man and Xeno to come together in the interests of business. The only one left was a Fire Warrior.
Kellan pushed the button for his stop before he got a good look at the soldier. It had been a while, but had his eyes deceived him?”
“Kais?” He asked, just as the elevator stopped. The doors didn’t open.
A long time had passed since Marla’s last encounter with an alien civilization. She hoped the next one would go more peacefully. At last, Ghost saw the lights. The lights of psychic activity. The lights of sentient, advanced life. The demon guided Marla’s ship closer, and by its own powers combined with that of the ship’s strange engines, they pierced through the veil, into the Materium.
There, the two would find a planet, source of the psychic activity Ghost saw. More importantly however, they also saw a large vessel, a Tau ship. By all means, it seemed active, yet Ghost hardly saw more than just faint shimmers in it while in the warp. To Marla, this was an anomaly. A race with advanced technology, yet without much of a psychic presence was unheard of to her. She had to investigate.
She attempted to establish a communication channel with the ship as she approached it.
