I'm curious, what Kaj songs have touched you deeply or made you shed a tear?

I watched the Kaj 10 concert yesterday and the Manlig Vänskap hit home. Even when their songs are based on humor their messages are so deep and full of story and imagination.

I love Hej du människa by KAJ. Its not only a really funny parody of musicians who say a whole lotta nothing, it's also REALLY FUCKING GOOD?? The lyrics give me a little giggle, but the music and vocals genuinely do make me feel a bit emotional.

The five minute mark onwards is the type of stuff that makes me transcend this mortal plane. Also, regarding that, its a pretty damn long song. 7 minutes and somehow i am entertained throughout. Enough to put it on repeat. Honestly might be my favorite KAJ song. It's awesome.

So I've been procrastinating drawing because I am a perfectionist and if I don't like something I redo it or abandon the work altogether. I'm trying to ignore the need for everything having to be perfect because the process of art should be enough and bring me joy. I don't want not to draw because of a fear of something not being exactly as I want it to be, since drawing takes a lot of practice.

I dream of a life where I can draw a light sketch easily and be proud of it, and also be more confident in my drawings. Drawing for me is a way to channel the obsession I have for a media, especially Kaj, so I see this as a skill that I'd love to develop further. I saw a youtube video that had "a mindset that will make you want to draw more". And it goes something like: I am complete as I am.

That is hard to accept. Whenever I am writing fanfiction or drawing, and I have a moment where I know I don't have the skills to make it better and it brings me down. But then I remind myself that it's okay, you have time to improve, and this is a good time to practice it. And it's okay to have scenes that are not quite smooth or lines that could be placed better. With every piece of art I keep improving, but right now it's okay to just be what I am, create what I can, and enjoy the process because making something in itself is fucking amazing.
