@kaliloggingon gets a starter
Kali might have been a new recruit, but she was family now--that was how things worked in Catalyst. They fought together, they cried together, they healed together--theyâd died together too, if that was how the cards fell. If Padme had anything to do with it, however, theyâd never have to find out what that felt like--she would keep building their house of cards, restacking again and again, no matter how many winds tried to blow them down.Â
Even if the house took her out with it.Â
So when sheâd heard that the newest Catalyst âchildâ had nearly died, she had wasted no time in running to her side, pushing away any and every player who got between her and the hospital bed. It had taken her longer to get there than she would have liked, having been held up by the nurse hovering over her, asking how many fingers she was holding up, as if that mattered (because Padme had seen about 12 fingers anyway). By the time sheâd made it to Kaliâs bedside, she had an icepack taped to her forehead, the cuts sheâd sustained hastily wrapped, and was now assessing Kaliâs injuries while making a mental list of all the supplies sheâd have to gather to make the right potions that would start the healing process. Unfortunately, there was no potion that would make the pain go to zero or her health to a 100. She barked a few orders at one of the nurses.
