but yeah the seekers of the sun are sort of patriarchal, theres one nunh (breeding male) and a lot of tias who can challenge him for the title

keepers of the moon are super matriarchal (i think its even mentioned somewhere that even having a male child is relatively rare); family surnames are all from the mother, some can go back eras because of that, females get given names and their mothers surname, males get <single syllable>'<short noise to denote which kid by #> <mothers surname>
