~ 💗 I completely agree with this confession . Yes I can see their relationship blossoming much farther and even lead to love . Kanata is very wary and intrigued by Ako and it was very sweet to see him watch her concert for the children instead of being by the side of her Leader , Tsubasa . It was such a shame that he was not shown at all or had no reaction to Ako and her crushing defeat to Tsubasa for the S4 selection . I would have loved for Kanata to have replaced Tsubasa in the seaside patio scene . I wanted for someone to give her support . Yes , Yume , Laura , and Mahiru were seen going over to Ako's dorm to give her snacks and to show support but instead did not as Ako was crying her eyes out from the loss as she toyed her own feelings as she talked to a doll of Subaru . It was such a sad scene yes but a beautiful scene that helps define Ako as she is a smart girl and is capable of so much but she has her own flaws . Its her love . The way that she cannot properly display her emotions unlike lets say , Yume . The scene showed that she was not weak , but that she felt that she had little support around her and had to rely on a doll of someone she loved . Someone that she cant catch with her hands , he’s too far . Someone who is already in love with someone else , but she doesn't know . Someone who she knows doesn't care about her but cares for someone else . Its hurting her and its affecting her emotionally . Its not implied yes but the scene gave us a hint of it . She has support all around her but cant get the boy out of her mind and its tearing her apart . She wants him but its not going to happen , She knows that and its going to ruin her if she doesn't stop running to chase him . She’s doing all she can to impress him but nothing is working . She feels alone but truly she isn't . There are people there but only their eyes gleam , red . Its as if she’s the hunted and not the cat doing the hunting .
What I really would have loved is for Kanata not to imply that he has feelings for her just yet , but to be the rock for her . To be the pillar of support that she needs and wants . Sure , its not Subaru but he’s willing to do so , because he cares about her . I wanted him to look at her as she cried and tell her that its okay to lose , that someday the fallen will rise . That she’s not alone in this fight , That he will be there for her . He might not stay for long but he’s here . He’s here to help her .
I love how they are not pushing this relationship so quickly as Subaru and Yume . They are taking so much time with this as to see how far they can go , Its as if it were a flower . It takes time for one to blossom , But you need to tend to it . The sun being the warmth of their smiles as they know that their is a tomorrow , that there will be another day to look forward to as long as they care . The soil being the foundation that supports them . The initial friendship that is still sprouting to grow even taller and stronger . The water being tears , That its okay to cry , it will always be okay to cry . Know that someone is out there that cares . 💗 ~
