▤ = falling asleep on them .
It seemed, to him, that things were getting out of hand.
Well, at least compared to what he was used to allowing to happen. They’d been spending more time together. He wasn’t certain how it had happened and he wasn’t entirely certain why. He’d been fiddling with the damned device that he’d been given weeks ago, still unsure of what it was. She’d promised to help him figure out how it worked but instead... he felt a firm weight against his side. Her head leaning against his shoulder, an arm lightly wrapped around his and hugging it to her side.
He swallowed hard, tilting his head away from her own and scowling just slightly. There was a strange sort of comfort among the discomfort. Something he wasn’t entirely sure he disliked. With a light sigh, his hands set the frustrating device down upon the armrest of the couch the two of them had been resting on. Slowly, Vantiel unclipped the cloak from around his shoulders and pulled it around, draping it over her.
“You’ve a bed, you know...” He whispered softly, barely loud enough for her to hear if she were awake, much less asleep. His gaze lingered upon her lovely face a moment longer, bringing a hand up to brush his fingers back through her long, silky hair to brush it out of her face. With a light sigh, he settled back, unwilling to move the girl.
He supposed he would tell her that they’d officially slept together when she awoke.
