Oklahoma City’s kanon_kid serving up a dancey remix of Slime Girls’ “Video Girl”
The new slime girls album came out either last night or this morning while i was in class and it's full of insane remixes from incredible friends like Form and shape, Kanon_kid, and Astroskeleton. They take the already incredibly powerful songs and give them their own unique touches that amplify their own feelings of the song.
Heart on Wave and it's various mixes punch me in the gut with strong dance rhythms with a bittersweet sound that fit perfectly with the snowstorm outside and Astroskeleton's remix just blows me away.
Video girl has a more nostalgic feel for me, not having the melancholy of Heart on wave and I love it a lot, along with all of the remixes by Form and Shape, Kanon Kid and Petriform. The slow jam remixes are all great and compliment Slime Girls' original track perfectly.
Seriously one of my favorite albums this year.
