A crop top I sewed for Shaman from scraps of fabric. My mom had these scraps in her stash and I absolutely loved it so she gave it to me. I did some hand embroidery over the top: Kantha embroidery, french knots and some cross stitches. I lined the top fully with muslin fabric, added some vintage black seam binding for the neckline and a rainbow tassel trim on the bottom edging. This is my most happiest quilt work piece till date. I absolutely love the end result. I also realized that I love working more with old scraps of fabric than full bolts of fabric. There is a different kind of satisfaction it brings working with them. I finished it all with giving Shaman a Gujarati(my home town) hairstyle and some dots on her face with eyeliner to complete the look.
