She spots him and immediately backs away. Rin ducked behind a tree, away from the demon known as Koga. Ever since their encounter, she bad learned to make herself small and unnoticeable by him. Her kimono had caught on a twig, where she was trying to sneak away but it had prevented her from leaving. There was a small whimper, while she tried to free herself from the twig. “….Sesshomaru-sama..” She murmurs.

Koga was busy with speaking with the tribe's elders within the regions when he paused. He could smell that strange human that always stayed by Inuyasha's older brother Sesshomaru within his lands and he dismissed himself, apologizing for the abruptness but that there was someone within their land that he sensed something wrong.

Wandering his territory, he was curious to what was going on. That's when he heard her voice and looked towards some bushes to see it shaking as she was trying to free herself from a twig that caught her.

"Hey, the hell are you doing way out here, kid?"

The girl stares at the boar mask, she didn’t seem to be frightened. Her eyes curious at his attire. She approaches slowly, her eyes fixated on it in the way it looked. Rin stops, her hand reaches into her pocket but holds out a small little pouch. Instead held little star candies, she often tried to share. It was the only thing she could think of to become maybe friends? “Are… you a demon?” She asks as her head tilts.

Glossy blue eyes stared back at the little girl, unblinking. The creature almost seemed to breathe with life, the snout slightly twitching, hair bristled by a light breeze.

"Haaaaah? Me, a demon? I kill demons for fun!" He boasted, hands placed on his hips. "Is it because I wear the hide of the mountain lord?"

His attention stopped on the little candies that filled the pouch, his curiosity piqued. Dirt-covered fingers plucked a few candies from the bag, and had them disappear under the boar's hide. The sweet taste was quick to spread across his tongue, delight filling him whole.

He crouched to the child's height, excitement bubbling in his voice.

"What are these things?! They're delicious! Tell me where you found them! What sort of plant do they grow on?!"

He could feel it. Eyes piercing through him. With a nose up he realized the scent was familiar. Instinct told him there was no threat here.

"I know you're there. You lost or somethin'?" He finally turns, setting his eyes on the tree. She attempted to slip behind the trunk but he was quicker and hopped to the side just enough to keep her in his sight.

"So it's you. Usually the older mutt is with you." It was the kid. Still afraid of him. With good reason, which momentarily did stab at him. With his strengthened tolerance of humans, Koga felt genuine regret for some of the past.

"I'm not gonna bite."
