in case anyone was wondering, Chile in such turmoilk theres nothing sacred. The main demands right now are the removal of the president and the drafting of a brand new constitution and President Piñera´s reaction was to publicly call announce anti-riot pro-police policies. People have been shot with rubber bullets through the eye, dozens of statues of white dudes (specially colonizers) have been defaced, today a church was sacked and its furniture (and art and statues) were burned to make it harder for the police to move.
Piñera is currently geverning for the wealthy and for his own ego and only international outcry may make think of other human being in his life.
