Investigators AU:

Takes place Post Reset Game, where mostly everything happened except the Skaia, Prospit, and Derse are reachable to Earth and vice versa. People (Or Terrans) except that as their reality due to LOTS OF POLITICS and so much things going down. Also includes trolls but they were forced to integrate on Earth afterwards for reasons.

Like f!Dani, Dani takes an interest in law due to the influences in her life but also watching the rising tide of mafia activity in all three planets. She starts studying law late in her life but eventually becomes a private investigator, opening a firm at first on Earth but later on in Skaia for easy access. (Think in her 30s late.)

System is seriously corrupted and half of the reason is what happens in Point numero 1. Most people fear the mafias (ie The Midnight Crew and The Felt are #1 issues) to the point they make allegiances and/or contracts so their business don’t tank. Dani doesn’t do that and constantly runs into problems as a result. That said....

The Felt has taken interest in Dani’s work and also threatened her in the same breath. It’s a strange dance where she constantly finds herself at odds with them or getting some aid that ends up with “favors” or “debt” with them. It helps that a lot of her cases involve the Midnight Crew in some way. But in the end, she vows to not work under them so she’s stuck in this constant loop of trying to avoid them and giving her what she needs.

She has a partner that works on the legal side of things. A lot of people confuse them for being married because of how close they are but really they have a loving friendship. Also said partner isn’t too keen on her handling with the Felt. A lot of their arguments stems on that and how Dani has no clue what to do most days. Her usual response is shrug “I’ll figure it out” which is her way of saying never and maybe at the same time.
