Speculation on what Rocky and Adrian's kids would look like, information about names below the cut:
A couple (Earth) years after Grace and Rocky return to Erid, Rocky and Adrian have a clutch of eggs. Each of the pebbles (as Grace decided to call them) was named in Rocky's language, then by Grace in English. Here is the litter in order of hatching:
Sol: The first to hatch, also the largest of the litter. Named after its size and colouration. (Its name in Rocky's language is the name Rocky gave our sun.)
Cetacea: Named after the bright whale-like song it sang as soon as it hatched. (Direct translation for its name in Rocky's language does not exist, the closest translation from Rocky's language would be "To taste song".)
Murphy: Due to a rather violent hatching it managed to entirely shatter it's whole egg. Grace named it after Murphy's law and Interstellar. (Again no direct translation, closest would be "One with sudden calamity".)
Terra: In Rocky's language Terra is named "The sturdy ground where claws rest" Grace initially had a hard time coming up with a name in English but when its blue/green colouration developed, Terra was immediately a fitting name.
Grace (Jr.): The smallest of the litter. Grace was a hatching risk and several problems during the incubation phase. It took significantly longer to hatch than any of its siblings and for a while the doctors thought they would not. Through what felt like a miracle they hatched and Adrian and Rocky decided to name it after Grace.
(It should be noted that there is indeed a direct translation between Rocky's language and English for the word/name Grace. Junior and Senior also translate fairly well, (naming children after other people is a common practice in Eridian culture,) however Adrian and Rocky tend to use an honourific (untranslatable) that denotes respect and affection to differentiate between Grace Jr. and Grace Sr.
