Me after I finished reading Heartless by Marissa Meyer last night:

okay but I’m still convinced that the handler has the hots for five

lowkey hope that thomas doesn't introduce a new side between now and his birthday because I have a drawing planned that may or may not go to hell if he does

Maybe someone already thought of this (I've been out of the tag for the last few days while I've been working) but here's how I can see the Hargreeves getting their powers back:

(spoilers-ish under the cut)

The Hargreeves are at the sushi bar and they start physically fighting over the jar of marigold, but, like, in a bitch-fight way, slapping and snatching basically

Meanwhile, Lila is drinking all of their shots

So, they keep fighting until the jar slips and breaks on the floor, the marigold then enters their bodies and boom, they have powers again

We already know from season one that the marigold will float to where it's going and this way is much more accurate to the show and characters than having a civil discussion

Also then, no one is to blame for tricking or forcing it on anyone, it becomes an accident of the siblings being idiots and sharing one brain cell

One more thing

Why did Lila have laser eyes???? Her powers have to do with copying the powers of those around her, like a chameleon

But none of the Hargreeves have laser eyes???

Literally I was expecting Diego and Lila to get home at the end and it would be revealed that their kids (or at least Grace since she was conceived while they had powers) had powers

...so, I just finished season four of the umbrella academy, and usually I try to stick with the positives with my fave shows, but... Damn is that hard to do with this
