I couldn’t stick to three sentences. Have a drabble:

The ground changes under Rey’s feet.

The soles of her boots have long since worn away, and she sheds more and more with each step – strips of leather stained in her sweat, old threads scented with her blood. Rivulets of dirt slither up to cushion her path in exchange for the bounty, and slink away, chastened.

Kylo takes care to repeat her steps; with every miss, the dunes hiss and churn, quieting only when he grips for her roughened hand. Heat rises where their fingers touch, melding the cracks in their skin.

Behind them, the sibilant desert swallows their footprints.

How often do you trim your hair or get your hair trimmed? I got my sides shaved down to a 0 two weeks ago and they've already grown in so much (I think my hair grows an inch in about 6 weeks). Should I go in on some clippers?

SO FAST. ugh. i get a haircut every 4-5 weeks. i should probably also invest in clippers but i dont trust myself and the people i live with dont trust themselves enough to do it (i’ve asked). 

(btw i know i “liked” your haircut in multiple locations buT THIS IS ME SAYING: DUDE IT LOOKS GREAT!!!)

Today I went thrift shopping, and I found what appeared to be a clown pelt :o( How can I tell genuine clown skins from imitation ones? What are the ethics on wearing clown pelts?

genuine clown pelts have a slightly leathery, almost plastic-y feel to them. they squeak when rubbed, unless theyre from a mime, which is silent. theyre all VERY stretchy.

ethically... its confusing. if its taken when a clown has shed its skin, then thats fine! if its harvested from a clown who died naturally, i suppose thats fine. im personally against the killing of clowns just to harvest their pelts, though.

Any advice on stopping clowns from jumping on the kitchen table? Spraying them with seltzer will determine them for a while, but then they're back at it again.

Boo them! It lets you know its NOT what they want to see!

Uhhhhhh I'm gonna guess that your favorite season is the fall?

it very much is -- autumn is beautiful, especially in new england, and sometimes just taking a drive a little ways out of town provides these absolutely incredible sights. small town autumn is delightful (city autumn is lovely, too, but i haven’t really had that for a long time). the air smells good, there’s this change from clean crisp cool to slight tinge of decay, and my favorite flowers are everywhere, asters/gerbera and mums, and you can start wearing scarves and thick wool socks, and have hot tea more often, just because

D’awww, thank you! HIBERNATION IS SO WONDERFUL THOUGH. I had this picture book when I was a kid that was a very simple, but kind of weird, primer on animal traits and behaviors -- so it would have a page of, say, cute cartoon-like drawings of a giraffe, a bison, and a deer, with the label, “even-toed ungulates”. And that same page would have a drawing of say, a tapir, but it’d be crossed out like a road sign, like, “is this little guy an  artiodactyl? no!”. there was one page with animals that hibernate -- snakes, bears, frogs -- and a picture of a small boy in shorts and knee socks crossed out, like, NOPE, THIS IS NOT PEOPLE BEHAVIOR, which disappointed me to no end.
