Friends ..... In life we go through many stages and phases, as does the friendships we create. When we are young, our friends are chosen for us based upon our parents friendships with theirs. We are thrown into school environments in which we form bonds with the people that we are surrounded with daily. But during those next few stages of life, after school and social clubs our parents sent us to, we have the most beautiful opportunity to fill our lives with such great people that we experience every day life with. Friends become a part of your extended family. They are there through the good times and not so good times. They don't want to 'steal your boyfriends' (age 13 when we were all so very insecure), we pay for each other without 'splitting the check', we still swap clothes and give advice, but one thing I can say, especially at this very moment in my life, that soul mates are not the people that we read about in fairy tales, they are the true friends that you were meant to meet, that are supposed to be in your life and yours in theirs, they are the very few special people in our lives that will remain with us forever. I want to dedicate this little blog to my wonderful friends Sarah and Melissa. Without these two strong powerful passionate people my life would be very different. Our doors are always open, our kitchen never closes. And our love for each other will forever last. Lots of love, katie xx
