Hello everyone, Ren aka katzgotsecretz here.

First of all, I just wanted to ask y'all: how have you been guys doing? I hope everything is fine. And if its not, then, please do believe that everything would be okay soon. All bad things are not permanent here in this life.

Second is that I want to sincerely apologize for being inactive for days, or weeks, for that matter. I know I still have a series waiting for me to get my toes into but things have not been great in my end since December of 2025 up until now — adulthood is harsh, man. And my mental health had been erratic lately, to the point that I either snap at things (or people) or be up in my feet like a Red Bull infused gremlin. Not to mention I am also been healing on some other battles I have been battling for quite some time now.

On top of all of that, I have been experiencing a massive writer's fatigue and block that I can't force out the words out of my brain even if I wanted to — the chapter for Australian GP in Overdrive had been sitting in my files untouched since December, collecting dust. I tried to divert my attention back to video games, hoping it would inspire me to go back to writing and combat the block and the fatigue I'm having, but it didn't do much at all. And it is frustrating, ngl.

But, I sincerely want to thank everyone who supported and checked out the individual stories in my first F1!Kats au series — in between — up until the second installment of the series which I adoringly call Overdrive. I am not going to lie to you that I really really had fun writing it because most of those stories came from my personal experience; being pressured to perform at your best, falling in love, experiencing heartbreak, losing yourself to the world just to fit in, etc. And also, this series is a proof of a manifested daydream of having a Formula One and Katseye collaboration (hey um, pls do).

I am so sorry I could not live into the expectations of giving a steady flow of stories for you guys to read on and enjoy. Maybe soon I'll be able to make it up to you. But for now, I have to put the Overdrive series on hold until I get eveything back in order.

(And hopefully, may 2026 be kind to all of us.)

i wanna know if y'all want to know yoonchae's side of the paddock (yes, ik i literally said that i wont be writing any yoonchae stories but i was thinking of giving her one as a off season content or maybe on how she is dealing with all the chaos that is her friends and being the youngest in the mercedes crew. no pairing involved, just pure point of view.)

what you guys think? let me know your thoughts on my inbox and how have you been liking the f1!katseye series so far!

hey y'all!! i wanted to thank this moment to thank all of you again for loving the f1!kats series! i really appreciated all the comments, the reblogs, the likes, and every bit of interaction i have with y'all!

(also woah, i never realized that i already have 123 followers, thank you all so much!)

this alternative universe i have created with the kats is not just me dreaming of a collab or probably a teeny tiny interaction between my favorite sport and my favorite group but also as a proof of my passion for the sport and how i wanted to encourage everyone to try and dive in to the fast pace world of F1, and hopefully, find your love for it as much as i do! also, if you manage to squint enough, it also contains some personal experiences weaved into the curves and garage noise that the f1!kats face.
