The Harvest Of Peace Potluck went AMAZING!
It was great to sit with others from the Shambhala Center and these were people I did not know (all except one girl). I, again, still feel so comfortable there and everyone is so kind. My "deconstructed" pizza was loved and that took a big weight off of my shoulders.
There was a dinner I was invited to, though I am not a full member (which is being fixed this week BOOYAAH). It was great to enjoy such great food in fellowship with others. Amazing conversation and bonds were built today.
I also got to meet Kalapa Acharya Adam Lobel, who lives in the Pittsburgh area. He will be conducting several events there and also will be heading the Refuge Vow ceremony. He just returned from the NYC from a conference at the UN on issues with the environment. His words were uplifting and he inspired me even more to do more for the environment. He sat with us for a little bit before he had to leave.
After today, I have 100% made up my mind about taking my vows of refuge and to become a full-time member of the center. I just enjoy myself there and that is a first.
