Most of these screenshots show some of the extra content only included in the Saturn port. Which to date has never reappeared in any other version, even Maria was completely remade for the PSP version and looks and plays very different to her Saturn counter part.

Truth be told Symphony of the Night is an incorrect title translation with the correct name being Castlevania: Nocturne in the Moonlight, however it appears it may have been a deliberate mistranslation to make the name sound more catchy. Castlevania is known in Japan as Akumajo Dracula X.
It's fair to say the Saturn version is much maligned by PlayStation fans and there's no doubt the Saturn version does have problems due to a poorly coded port with an unoptimised gameplay engine that suffers from slowdown and increased loading times. However all the extra content and gameplay improvements like Alucard dash, playable Maria, new Richter costume, bonus items, new music and four extra areas. Make it worth picking up even for all the flaws!
