talk about AWKWARD . cris didn’t expect to see anyone he actually knew from LA in NYC . they’re literally on two different ends of the country . more specifically , he didn’t want to see anyone he knew from LA . it’s a whole different life there . different people , and blair definitely fit into the mould of people he didn’t want to see - - - with their , are they / aren’t they thing , and then being publicly turned down without even getting the chance to say anything . cris’s ego was a little ( a lot ) damaged by it . he took a breath as he saw her approaching him , knowing it was too late to turn on his heels and run the other way . fuck . “ oh hey . “ he says , awkwardly waving - - ‘that was stupid’ he says to himself mentally , the same hand reaching to scratch the back of his head because that definitely wasn’t as smooth as he thought it’d be .
