Kombucha • fermented foods • my first experience with Kombucha was always when I would get my hair done by my friend @artemis_nutrition. I would show up and she would always have some new flavour for me to try. I ended up getting my scoby from a friend who had got a scoby from Her too. I always loved checking out her scoby hotel as she called it and thinking it was soooo bizarre..now fast forward many years later my go to flavour is strawberry or blueberry. I took a bit of a break from making kombucha in the summer since my house was so warm it was turning to vinegar faster than I could keep up. But now im back at it and damn is it good. So what is kombucha?Kombucha is a fermented food/drink that has been made by combining tea, sugar and a symbiotic colony called a scoby or mother. Kombucha is rich in enzymes and beneficial bacteria that support digestion, joint health and immune support to name a few. Most noted in health community is the natural support of probiotics. Probiotics are ment to support a healthy balance of our gut flora that essentially balances our whole body. Kombucha is fairly commercialized now.
