I believe that Tessa valued Cyn more than the rest of the drones that she had recovered, not only do they share the same hairstyle but in Home there is a portrait in the background of only Tessa and Cyn
Tessa was unfortunately unaware of the solver program in Cyn until it was too late whenever Cyn had massacred the gala
We see a picture of Tessa’s corpse in Cabin Fever, the episode just before Home so Cyn had most likely killed Tessa sometime after the events from Home whenever she had dragged Tessa to Cabin Fever Labs if I am indeed correct that this picture of Tessa’s corpse had been taken in Cabin Fever Labs
Cyn had used this version of Tessa to trick the main characters into thinking that Tessa was still alive, gaining the trust of N, V, and Uzi in this form in Dead End
By Mass Destruction however, N became fully aware of Cyn’s facade
Decapitating the false Tessa as a result
Later in Mass Destruction, N and Uzi realized that Cyn had been wearing Tessa’s corpse as a skin suit this whole time and she was the one who was in the spacesuit and not Tessa
After I put pieces together in my brain from the lore we get from each of the episodes, I had come to the conclusion that Tessa had been dead for a long time and was likely killed sometime after the event from Home if we consider that the timeline seems to be a bit inconsistent on top of the picture from Cabin Fever where we are shown Tessa’s corpse
Cyn had to of skinned Tessa’s corpse sometime before the events from The Promening (the first time we see astronaut “Tessa”) and then put on a spacesuit to hide the fact that she had been wearing Tessa’s corpse as a skin suit all along
