Had a few thoughts while I started on ME 3 with Kel Shepard.
First of all, she is so very happy to be back with the Alliance. The military has been basicly her entire life (spacer origin), so she feels like she's finally come home after the nightmare of dealing with Cerberus.
She is also feeling so emotionally conflicted right now. She hasn't seen Kaidan (other than the brief, painful few moments on Horizon) for over two years, and suddenly he's right in front of her again. Even after their argument over working with Cerberus, she still likes him and missed him a lot. But her heart really still belongs to Thane. Except that she hasn't seen him for at least 6 months, since she turned herself in after the Collector base was taken care of. She misses Thane horribly, and is torn up from worrying about him and his health. Then Mars happens and Kaidan is hurt, so now she's worried about him too. And then, if all that wasn't enough, she gets back on the Normandy and meets her new comm specialist. Who happens to be adorable, friendly, ridiculously smart, and has a super-attractive accent. Hopefully stuff will get sorted out some after she gets reunited (sort of) with Thane in the hospital later.
She's also getting seriously sick and tired of the Council's bs. They spent all that time denying everything she tried to warn them about, then once the Reapers do show up, they want to throw Earth to them as a distraction to give themselves more time for useless preparations. To say Kel is getting frustrated would be a huge understatement.
And now it's getting super late and I can't remember anything else, but that is the gist of everything. Going to bed before more stuff pops into my head and keeps me awake all night.
