Canadians are enjoying their lives as few other populations. So why do the Conservatives want to change our reality, and move back to the days of Stephen Harper?
Every Canadian who wants to protect our progress, and to keep moving forward, needs to vote.
The 40+% of Canadians who traditionally do nothing, will be doing something, and it won't be pretty or comfortable for any of us. Vote like your future depends on it, because it does.
Just look at some of the progress Canadians have benefited from since 2015:
The Canada Child Benefit:
More money for 9 out of 10 families to help with the cost of raising kids, and nearly 300,000 Canadian children lifted out of poverty. And this month, the Liberal government increased it once again.
Fighting climate change and protecting a clean environment:
Putting a price on pollution, unprecedented investment in the new Oceans Protection Plan, working to ban harmful single-use plastics as early as 2021, and much more.
Safe and affordable housing: Moving forward with Canada’s first-ever National Housing Strategy, which will create 100,000 new housing units and lift more than 500,000 Canadians from housing need.
Our communities: Historic infrastructure investments in projects that make daily life smoother and safer; including better transit, roads, bridges, bike paths, and more; so Canadians can spend less time in traffic and more time with your loved ones.
Growing an economy that works for everyone:
Since 2015, Canadians have created more than 1 million new jobs, unemployment is at a 40-year record low, and more than 825,000 Canadians have lifted themselves out of poverty.
These are the sign of real progress; but moving forward, there’s much more to do.
But Andrew #Scheer and the #Conservatives have other plans. They have doubled down on divisive politics with a series of negative attack ads, misinformation, and even lies. No wonder they don't want to tell us the truth about their plans, since, like Doug Ford has done in Ontario, and Jason Kenney has signalled he plans for Albertans, they intend to cut vital services that Canadian families rely on.
