Craft is the latest creation from Kendama USA. What started as a research and design motive gave birth to an entire line of highly crafted, made in the USA Kendamas.
For over a year the team has been working on new shapes. Every trade show we would meet up and discuss what we want. The Kendama USA family is always growing and we wanted to take into consideration everyones kendama needs. Every player is different so why should every kendama be the same? This concept is what gave us the idea of creating 2 unique shapes that fit to each players play style.
These 2 shapes go beyond “Thick and Thin”. Each shape has unique features that create a totally different kendama experience.
Both Kendamas feature the below.
-Larger cups all around
-2.0 and Slim feature their own Modified Slip stop
-New base cup ring
-2.0 and Slim have their own Unique Sarado
-Arched bird zones
-2.0 and slim feature their own unique sword diameter.
-New Bevel
-Burn lines in Big and Base cup for Tracking / Respect for Moshikame
My favorite features of these two new shapes are the new cup size, slip stop, and the thin sword of the Slim.
The slip stop is different on the slip and the 2.0 but both are very pronounced. This allows a great feel in the hand and for me gives a great catch out of moon circles. The cups all around have been boosted which gives better lunars, lighthouses, and general cup flow. The slim is just a different feel that I have not felt before and can only be experienced. My advise is to just swoop yourself one and see for yourself.
My personal favorite tricks on the SLIM.
-STALLS! BIRDS, HANDLE, AXE! They are all amazing with the slim.
-SLINGERS! Specifically late slingers and sling to whirlwind.
-space walking. The shape just fits in your hand so well catch and release tricks like space walking just have a new feel.
